LENT GROUPS:

During Lent we will again be holding an interesting series of Lent Groups, every Wednesday, with each session held both mornings at 10.30 till 12 noon and evenings at 7.30 till 9.00pm. All sessions will be in the Small Room in the Memorial Hall.

The dates are February 29th, March 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th.

The theme for the course is "Are we Washing our Hands of England's Poor?" The five down to earth sessions are entitled Homelessness, Debt and Unemployment, Youth, Family Life and Welcoming the Stranger. Each session will include looking together at a bible passage and discussing the subject of the week.

Ashley Hutchings co-founded legendary folk rock groups , ‘Steeleye Span’, and the ‘Albion Band’

He is not only a musician and composer, but also a poet and has been a musical director at the National Theatre. For this show he has joined forces with the exceptional Ken Nicol who was a long-standing member of the ‘Albion Band’ and lead guitarist for ‘Steeleye Span’.

This special evening sees the two talented musicians perform from their album ‘Copper, Russet and Gold’. Their friendly banter, stories and anecdotes are always a joy and we’ll get

a true insight into the phenomenal success these musicians have had.

The concert will take place in The Bridge church and doors open at 7.00pm. Hope to see you there for what promises to be a great evening!
