Retired

The Bridge has a good number of retired people, some of whom are very active in their support and leadership of social events and other areas in the church and community.

Retired people are represented in every part of our life together – working and worshipping alongside children, young people and younger adults - as members of our choir, helping out at our Charity Shop & Café, Toddler Group and Social’s Committee, as carers in our Pastoral Care Network, and members of our Ministry Team and Church Council.

Through the Schools Worship Team they lead worship in our two local Church of England schools and at our weekly Cafe Church Service. They also lead worship at local Care Homes and share Home Communion with less active and elderly members of the community.

Local people, including those who are retired, are made very welcome at our Wednesday morning Coffee Stop, Quest Bereavement Support and Social Group, Mothers’ Union and Everywoman’s Circle and Men’s Outreach Group.
