At The Bridge Church  we look forward to helping you make the best start to your married life by asking for God’s blessing on your special day and to support you through the celebrations and challenges of married life. We will do our best to make your wedding a personal, memorable, and meaningful occasion.

 

The Bridge might look like an ordinary church from the outside but inside it is one of the prettiest churches in the county. Its beautifully decorated chancel, by celebrated Victorian artist Frederick Preedy, makes it a perfect setting for those life changing, all-important vows and an exceptional venue for you and your families to celebrate your wedding day.

 

Couples considering a wedding at The Bridge Church are invited to come along to church any Sunday at 10.30 and speak to one of the ministers after the service. Not living in the area does not prevent you from having your wedding at The Bridge, if you have a connection with the church through your parents or grandparents or you used to live in the parish as a child. A wedding date can then be confirmed and arrangements made for banns, rehearsal, fees and marriage preparation. We can also advise you on hymns, flowers and music. 

 

All couples are expected to attend a marriage preparation session prior to their wedding. These sessions are usually great fun, and will help you both to think through your church wedding. At the session each couple receives a Wedding pack full of materials designed to make the big day go smoothly.
