The Bridge branch of the Mothers Union meets only occasionally at present.

Membership of the Mothers Union is open to people of any age who have been baptised, we have members of all ages from all walks of life.

The Mothers’ Union is a world wide society within the Anglican Church. It has three million members and is especially concerned with preserving marriage and Christian Family Life.

Its Five Objects Are:

1. To uphold Christ’s teachings on the nature of marriage and to promote its wider understanding.
2. To encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the church.
3. To maintain a world wide fellowship of Christians, united in prayer, worship and service.
4. To promote conditions in society favourable to a stable family life and the protection of children.
5. To help with those whose family life has met with adversity.

Loving Lord We thank you for your love so freely given to us all. We pray for families around the world. Bless the work of the Mothers' Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life. Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world. In Jesus' name.
